Our skews are made from the same M42 cobalt HSS I offer two sizes the large skew is approximately 3/8” by 1 ¼” with a tang that fits a 5/8” socket and the small one is approximately 5/16” by 1” with a tang that fits a 1/2” socket. Both are radiused on the heel-edge of the shank to slide easily across the toolrest. The long point edge is machined flat. The short point edge has a machine radius to facilitate rolling beads. All sharp edges on the length of the shank have been softened. The skews bevels have been pre-sharpened and polished to a mirror finish, ready to make shavings.
